From Thursday 25th October to Sunday 28th October, 19 Explorer Scouts and 3 Scout Network from across Crawley District attended the annual mountain activity weekend, staying at a bunk house in Cynwyd, North Wales. Participants spent 3 days walking in the mountains, including Snowdon (the highest peak in North Wales) and rock climbing – and some even managed to get some sleep! Happy Easter to everyone! The Explorers have had a busy term, and finished on a high with an evening of karting. We have a hike coming up on 13th and 14th April which will count as a practice expedition for those undertaking their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh award, but is open to everyone and will be a great opportunity to polish navigation skills and camp craft.
