Last night, the Explorers started the meeting with an Explorer run debate night – well done to Chloe and Franklin who prepared and ran the first hour of the meeting.
We then held our annual D of E Expedition Presentation evening which included our summer expedition to Sweden Video, several Chief Scout Awards, a young leader belt buckle, 2 investitures, explorer of the year and Downsman Hike Competition Presentations – all in all a very busy evening!
Well done to all our Explorers who received awards:
- Explorer of the Year: Charlie and Joe
- Young Leader Belt Buckle: Leo
- Chief Scout Platinum: Harry, Leon, Ben, Ash and Mark
- Chief Scout Diamond: Tom and Charlie
- Downsman: Joe, Charlie, Tom, Evie, Harry, Franklin and Dylan
We also welcomed two new members – David and Saxon
The final three awards, the Chief Scout’s Platinum Award, Chief Scout’s Diamond Award and the King’s Scout award are available in the Explorer Scout and Scout Network sections.
All three are linked to the DofE awards and the five challenges for those awards can be used for these awards.
The Chief Scout’s Platinum Award is open to Explorers and is linked to Bronze DofE. As well as completing some time volunteering, learning a new skill, getting better at a physical activity and a two day expedition there are also two activities from the International, Community and Values list.
The Chief Scout’s Diamond Award is open to both Explorers and Scout Network and is linked to the Silver DofE award. The requirements are similar and require a three day expedition.
